We are all co-creators, made for community.

So we've designed a gathering space to create and be known.

It's a glass house.

Join us as we come together to learn, to create, and to practice being generously human.

upcoming events

It's still early, but we've got some good things cooking for 2025.

Our first community event of the year will be a collaboration with ceramic artist Caroline Bouwerse of Clay Tooth Studio.

Hand-Building Ceramics

May 8, 5:30-8:30pm, $150 per student (max of 16)

In this beginner-friendly workshop, ceramic artist Caroline Bouwerse will guide us through the steps to turn a ball of clay into your own unique ceramic mug! Using some of the very oldest methods that our ancestors used to turn earth into vessels, we’ll pinch and form a base and then build up the walls with a coiled roll of clay, thinning and shaping along the way with rhythmic and meditative pinching and turning.

Complete your mug with a handle that suits you, and envision it finished as you choose a glaze to be added after its first firing.Within 3 weeks, once your piece has been dried, fired, glazed, then fired again and its base sanded smooth, it will be ready for you to enjoy or give as a gift–just in time for Mother’s Day!

Come get your hands dirty with us, as we create beautiful, functional mugs that will be used for years to come. We'll have snacks and sips on offer and look forward to greeting you this spring in the glass house. Cheers!

If you've got an idea for a gathering or event, let's talk.

weddings at the
glass house
The glass house is an intimate gathering space, nestled between two hills (map) in the heart of rural west Michigan and conveniently located halfway between Grand Rapids and the lakeshore. Our space offers comfortable seating for up to 50 guests (our max).
Our rental season runs from mid-May through mid-October.

The grounds on our historic farm provide multiple vignettes for photos, outdoor gatherings, yard games, and joyful lingering. In keeping with our values, the farm is a place of growth and nourishment. We live here with our children and various animals, and we want it to be a blessing to future generations.

We offer multiple wedding packages that include the glass house and the use of our grounds for ceremonies and receptions. For a more complete picture of our grounds, check out the wedding videos below.
